Our history

superkidz-community-trust

Superkidz Community Trust was founded in 2001 by Helen Russell, a resident of the Ferrier Estate in the south of Greenwich. Helen worked tirelessly to enthuse the community and built a team to volunteer to help develop the project.

It started at a grass roots level, with its first act being to survey other residents and young people as to needs and possible provision. It became a registered charity and limited company in 2008, and now works within communities across the SE9 area.

Nick Russell was the first manager of the Superkidz Community Trust and has been hugely instrumental in developing the work of the organisation. Superkidz Community Trust now supports children, young people and families from all backgrounds and is an integral part of the local community. Past members come back to visit regularly demonstrating the lasting impact of the work of the organisation.
